Gotcha !

Table lamp

When we turn on the light,

we capture some moments of truth from the everyday life.

‘Gotcha !’series is trying to challenge the stereotype that people toward animals. From long time ago, the artists and craftsmen always make animals in specific posture on arts, paintings and architectures. However, these perfect sitting postures are just part of animal’s life. For them, all postures are just reacting to their physical needs or the environments, not about beauty or ugly. We think, only through complete understanding and accept them in all condition, the relationship between people and human can be more healthy.

The designs in this series are slightly changed animal’s postures that people familiar with. It looks just as normal animal lamps, but look closely and carefully, you’ll see the animals are in different postures that you don’t expect to see, just like a small relax but been caught by you.

The extend version is further developed from the relationship between light, pillar and the animal, so you can see the stories happened in these small world.
